It has relevant Spanish phrases that I am already using, and I like that someone pronounces the words/phrase
Hi Adriana, Nice to hear from you. I took Spanish in High School and College. So although that was many years ago, I am remembering much of the basics. I also got a bit of a refresher this last year since large numbers of my students were primarily Spanish speakers with low levels of English fluency. To answer your questions: 1) Do you find it easy to retain the Spanish vocabulary you've learned so far? So far it is relatively easy to retain the vocabulary I'm learning. Some if it I know, but other parts are new to me, especially the school specific stuff. I am now writing the vocab I am learning in a notebook. The real test will be how much I retain in the Fall. 2) Do you feel you're learning the vocabulary and phrases you need? Yes. This is very helpful in terms of classroom terms and speaking on the phone to parents. In the past, I often relied on a script or phone translator. I like knowing some of the niceties, so I can be polite and respectful on the phone in particular as I want to have good relationships with students' parents. 3)Is the course going too fast or too slow for you? The course seems to be going at just the right speed. I like the self-paced aspect. Thankfully, I have lots of time to study during the summer.
Good to hear from you! The Spanish course I took was very easy to retain the vocabulary and was an amazing site to work with, it was very put together and simple and not as confusing as other ones I’ve seen. In this course we definitely learned a lot that will Be used in the future speaking with kids and parents. The site was not too fast or too slow for me I personally think that it gives a lot of information for somebody that has not taken any type of Spanish course And it’s all self paced which is super helpful for a lot of people. Which on my end I have taken three years of Spanish classes so that might be the reason why I finished so quickly.
Thank you so much! I had a lot of fun, and I am sad that it is over honestly. I will utilize the resources for sure. I will absolutely recommend the course to co-workers!
I enjoyed taking the course. I like that we have access even after completing the lesson so I can go back and practice. What worked for me is printing the vocabulary out for each unit/lesson and practicing with my Spanish speaking students. I liked that each lesson had informational facts about the Spanish language and/or culture. The hardest thing for me is the pronunciation and using the vocabulary in complete sentences.
