I am using it to communicate with the Hispanics in my workplace
It would be helpful if students had an option of forming conversational groups for practice.
The FYIs that recommend speaking with students, watching spanish movies and listening to Spanish on TV or on the radio are all very helpful! I just can't seem to learn it fast enough :)
I work in an intercity ER and have many Spanish speaking patients who I cannot communicate with. It is crucial to my job and their care that I know enough Spanish that I can effectively care for my patients. So far, the course is very helpful. The only complaint that I have is some of the longer sentences are spoken too quickly, But I am sure with time I will get those too.
I am the Migrant Recruiter and Translator for the school system I work in. I use spanish daily, it is not my first language so this is good for the words I lack, or may not have been pronouncing quite correctly. And my kids like standing over my back (my own kids not from the school system) and learning while I review. I would indeed recommend the program.
